JUNIOR PERFORMANCE
ACADEMY
WHY JOIN THE
ACADEMY
The Junior Academy is designed to support young netballers who are ready to train with purpose, improve their game and build the confidence to take the next step on court.
Players may use Academy sessions to prepare for rep trials, build confidence and skill alongside their twilight netball season, or continue developing during the off-season.
Each session is focused on helping players improve their court skills, game understanding and confidence through purposeful, face-to-face coaching.
Whether a player is working towards selection, wanting extra support during the Twilight season, or looking to keep progressing when regular training slows down, Academy gives them a structured way to keep building their game.
HOW IT
WORKS
The Academy is designed to give players structured support.
Once registered, players will be sent an Academy form to complete. This helps us understand their age, position, current skill level, goals and what they want to improve. From this, we can create a personalised at-home program for each player to continue working on their development outside of face-to-face sessions.
Players will then attend our 8-week Academy training block, where each session focuses on building key court skills.
During the school holidays (in the academy period), players will also have the option to attend position-specific sessions in Shooting, Midcourt and Defence. Players can choose the sessions that best suit their position and goals, or attend all sessions for a more complete development experience.

What are the start dates?
All Academy programs will start in the first week of September.
A calendar for each Academy location has been included above on this page, so you can view the specific session dates and times for your chosen location.
What are the age groups, and are you strict with them?
The Academy programs are split into two age groups:
11 Years Program
For players who are turning 11 this year, or have already turned 11 this year. This is for players born in 2015.
Players in this age group must register for the 11 Years Program. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions, as this program has been designed specifically for this stage of player development.
12-14 Years Program
For players aged 12-14 this year. This is for players born between 2012 and 2014.
If your child is slightly older and would like to join the Academy, they are welcome to register for the 12-14 Years Program.

Can my daughter train with her friends?
Yes, players are welcome to train with their friends as long as they are in the same age group.
We are strict with players who have turned 11 this year, or are turning 11 this year, training in the 11 Years Program. This program has been designed specifically for that stage of development, so there are no exceptions for younger players moving up.
However, if your child has an older friend in the 12–14 years age group who would like to train with them, they are welcome to join the 11 Years Program. The 11 Years Program is a focused 8-week development program, and any player who joins this age group will still benefit from the coaching, structure and skill development.
What are the groups capped at?
Each Academy group is strictly capped at 20 players.
This cap allows us to keep the coaching environment focused, structured and supportive, while ensuring players receive quality feedback throughout the program. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions once a group is full.

The investment for the Academy program is $450.
We are offering an early bird price of $370 for a limited time. Once the early bird offer ends, the full investment will apply.
